When your everyday task and actions become routine you should probably find out the reasons. To get better at transforming your life by changing your habits you need just several realizations about brain functioning first.
According to brain researchers, Buddhist monks, gurus and many other specialists exploring human brain a human being “sleeps” for the most part of her life. Of course, we feel present but that’s not the case. We can concentrate and perceive just limited amount of the real world “happening” to us. A brain as any other organ has its functions and capacity. The brain consumes the most part of the energy your whole bio system produces. As you move, breathe, think and see the objects around you there are some energy consumption at any of these moments.
Watch what you do
As your brain sleeps and you complete some routine tasks throughout your busy day you have zero or no control over what is happening to you. The most trendy and first specialist’s advice on how to change your behavior to be more successful is just to watch what you do. Watch yourself as another person, that will be a great deal of help to start with small changes.
Change your habits
As many self-help bloggers used to say, even a one small habit can change your life dramatically. Imagine you are a fabric. The product you make day after day is good enough but if you decide to use better materials at just one production department of many, the whole mechanism can completely transform the ending product. The same goes for habits. Drinking a glass of water in the morning every day can significantly improve the way you feel. Eating one banana can make you more stress resistant due to B-group nutrients it has. Reading just 20 pages a day makes you reading 36.5 books a year!
Making a habit what it is can be the most difficult part of your self-improvement journey. There should be no ending points at your results and the way up is the way you do the same stuff over and over. To get better at making new habits just don't be hard on yourself. Start with small things - make healthy breakfast or read for 5 minutes a day. You will be amazed when you look at yourself after 2 months.
